NOW for some details! Sooo life has been good overall ;)
Of course there has been some major ups and downs but it is amazing to see how the Lord works...

Graduation is coming up on the 4th, I have to say a speach that have wrote and I need to wear that rediculous looking cap and gown!! ERG!>!>!>! I thought I would post my speech on here just to see what yall thought.

SPEECH
Good evening, I want to thank yall for coming. I know that everyone has things to do so I am going to keep this short and sweet. I would like to start by reading a short poem titled "Four Things"
Four things a man must strive to do if he wishes to make his goals true: To think without confusion clearly; To love his fellow men sincerely; To act from honest motives purely; To trust in God and Heaven securely.
I am very thankful to say that every graduate standing here with me has trusted God with their life. There has been plenty of ups and downs in all of our lives and it is so comforting to be able to go to God and lay our troubles at his feet.
In 2006 I was attending Lq Quinta high school and not living my life as a christian should. I was still in church but that didnt matter, I had my own motives and there wasnt anything that was going to stop me. A ways into the 2007 year I received the news.......we were moving! I have to be honest, I hated the thought of it, but after much debate and long talks I realized that it was the final decision. After moving here to Yucca Valley I started attending church here at Calvary and it was amazing how quickly my life changed. I was no longer listening to the same music or watching the same shows and I definitely had better influences in my life. It was then that I truly gave my life to the Lord and started following him. Its amazing how I can look back and see how he has used people and events to change me and draw me closer to him and I am very grate full for that.
Apart from serving God I plan on going to college and getting a degree. I am starting school in the fall and I will be working towards becoming a Fire fighter paramedic. After college I plan on getting married and raising a family of my own for the Bible says in Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Now I do find the next verse kinda Ironic..Ephesians 5:32For this is a great mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Now I have stood up here and explained my past and even my future, but there is no way I could be here if it wasnt for the people that God brought into my life. First and for most is my family, I couldnt even survive if it wasnt for them keeping me in check and I definitely couldnt be the young man standing up hereif it wasnt for their wisdom and their guidance. My grandparents, even though they live on the other side of the country they always have an open ear and loving words of encouragement. I also want to thank them for flying out to be with us tonight, it means an awful lot to me. I would also like to thank my Pastor for being the Godly man that he is and for being willing to listen to me even when it pertains to youth relationships. Next I would like to thank my church in whole for being so loving and full of compassion. My youth pastor, Mr. Purdy has always been there to check in on me on a regular basis and that means allot knowing that someone cares. Next I would like to thank my bosses Mr. and Mrs. Lapp who really have treated me more like a grand kid than anything else. They have both showed me what it means to work and how to have fun doing it, not to mention the amazing horsemanship that I have learned from them. Last but defiantly not least is my friends, they ALL have had an huge impact in my life and I wouldnt have made it this far without them. Again I want to thank each and every one of you for coming to our graduation and being apart of the beginning of the next phase in our lives.
Well folks there you have it...=)
I got a new horse is trainer his name is Katami..he is a gated horse (fox trotter) WOW is he amazing. Other than the fact he tried bucking me off he is the smoothest horse I have ever ridden! Of course thats because of the fact he is gated....but still it was amazing!
Fire Fighting is going great, I start college in August so that will be nice and scary. I will have to take college math, english an a word comp. class before I can start my fire tech and science classes. Then I will be doing a combination of Fire academies and EMT classes. After that is done I wil do my Paramedic and then be done!! woot! Of course y'all know the next step....GETTING MARRIED....oh yeah...I know I know I got a few years but still....I can look to the future right...!?!?!
I am continuing Judo (Brazilian Jujitsu) it is becoming even more intense! I am hoping to be in a full contact MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fight by winter time...Im doing a ton of training and am hoping that injuries stay at bay...its the one thing that could prevent future tournaments. Thanks to James for being my teacher and sparing partner!
ERG Mom is as of now kicking me off saying that my 5 mins is up...soo sorry for not posting more but its a start...I am hoping to get into some every couple days updating. There is also hope of some pictures. Have a great day!!

Three Years Later.

New Post! Yes I know its very hard to believe.... Brock is actually updating!

Ok enough with the breaking news, now to actually post something, in what little time I have.

I got a pair of boots today. They are very comfortable!! For those of you who have been following the comments on the last post. I had originally decided on getting black boots. After seeing this pair I couldn't turn down the offer. *cough* yes they are 11 1/2 . My mom says that I am abnormal.... haha.

Camp Ironwood was great. Randy and I were cabin mates. We had a great time of fellowship and teamwork. Its to bad more people didn't come along. One thing you have to expect if you go to camp... is the DRAMA!! there is allot of it!

The movie we have been working called.... called....??? Well I dunno what its called yet, but its coming along great. We have 8 full scenes and a great ending that so far hasn't been written yet.

Ahh im running out of time! (i'm at the library and we can only be on the computer for a hour).

Hopfully this will please "those of you" who have been asking me about posting something new, this post is for you.

Hu-plah

1. don't ask about the title ^_^

2.Happy Easter. Yes I know I'm a day late. oops.

3. Hey! hows everybody. Its been a while since I have last posted a message... but I was sick so that has to count for something.

Lets start from the beginning...Well as I said, I was sick, but that's not that great of a subject so I shall move on. There is this really good book that Zach let me borrow called Showdown and finally after about 4 weeks of borrowing it, the book has ended. I hate finishing books, if your a reader you may feel the same way... you get attached with the character and the plot as if its your second world. Then its gone and a week later you have dived into the world of.... well whatever it is you are reading now... how cool is that!.

I had a dream a few days ago, well it was more like a nightmare... and it just so happins in my English, I had to write a short stroy of a scary event. I decided to write it, on this nightmare I just had, of a trip I took to Lagoona Beach......

Story
My friend and I went to Lagoona beach, where Mr. Bowdel (my friends dad) knew a secret spot on the beach that was perfect for catching and observing ocean life. Blaize (my friend) and I were messing around with bright plants and diving under the smooth ocean waves. Dale, my friends older brother and Mr. Bowdel decided to go out deeper in the water and go around this peninsula that jutted out to sea about 25 yards. There was a beach and a large cave on the other side, that they thought needed exploring. My friend and I got out of the water about a hour later and started getting nervous. The tide was changing, and the sun was going down. It started getting colder and with every passing minute we got even more worried. Finally I spoke up, "should we go and get them, what if something happened?" After five minutes of debating the issue, we decided to give it a try. I went in first, about stomach deep, Blaize was keeping his distance behind me. The waves had definitely changed, they were breaking fast. I stopped and turned my back to the ocean to check up on my buddy. He was trudging along at a very slow pace, I didn't blame him, the waves were strong. He watched his foot placement, then looked up at me. All I his emotions screamed panic. His face turned chalk white and he just stared at me. Only I was dead wrong. He wasn't staring at me... he was staring behind me. A shaky finger was the only body part that moved in his whole body, and it was pointing in my direction. It hit me so hard I was afraid to look. There was a shark!
DUN DUN DUN
My apologies for any Bordem or desire to smash your screen with a ten pound sludge hammer due to the lack of good writting on my part haha.
Oh and not like you care... but for that strange individual that does... that's not the end of the story. Yes, I know what your thinking... "Darn he didn't get eaten by the hungry shark" but stories have to end well so what can I say lol. Oh and for the even stranger'er individual that wants to hear the end of the story just.... ask me, yup thataldo.
So... its 8:21 and 51 seconds PM here and everyone is going to go watch "Broken Trail". If you have not seen it, see it. I must say you will want to be a cowboy after you watch this movie, shoot I even wanted to go west and carry guns ^_^ Yes this is my second time watching this movie. PS. if you are going to watch broken trail there is a couple parts where it would get... possibly offensive... especially in the very beginning... but it really happens (what it is they are showing) and they do it to prove a point, just be aware of that.
Good night

New York Times

Hello again everybody welcome into Brock's bubble...

I havnt posted in a little while so theres a couple things that havnt been posted yet!! Im sure your all just so excited to continue reading.....................................

................................

..........................................

Alright starting with Saturday! As you all know (that is... those of you who reading these things we call blogs) the youth group had a trip to Lighthouse Baptist Church. Everything was great. We arrived there around...12:30?? I think lol. We started off by having this absolutely hilarious preacher. His name was Johny Pope if I remember right. He was a preacher from Texas... he has been in the ministry for around 30-40 years. What a stunning experience it was to be able to listen to him preach, he had such a good balance between being funny and being dead serious. After the preaching ended we went straight into doing competitions. I have to admit I was extremely nervous! I think being nervous is a good thing because in total... with Randy (sorry for miss spellings)
he got a 1st place for vocals. We also got a 2nd in Large group anssemble(sp) and Zach and I got a 2nd in instrumental duet. We did verrrrryyyy well as a whole youth group. I must say we all were super proud to call Pastor Watkins our pastor after he preformed his magic tricks and ventriloquism. Of course we were proud to call him our pastor before the act but yeah... he was great!

So that's a heads up on what happened Saturday....

I don't think anything major has happened other than that... I had school today! Not that I don't usually..... ^_^

BUSY

So this Sunday we were on the way home from church. We were the first car to pull up to the red light. The light turned green and the jeep shut down. Thanks to a couple friends @ church we were able to push the jeep (through traffic) into the chevron gas station. Another thanks to Mr. George (having a cell) and Mr. Purdy (having a ginormous van). About 30 mins. later we got home and ate (I was starving ^_^ ).

Enough with the boring stuff.....

This Monday night Zach and I went to orchestra practice. It was very... how to put it... stressful? Either way I thought it was really cool and.... I got a really awesome guitar duet. Though... it may be very difficult, everything will sound good after much practice... that is I hope it will sound good.

Oh man time seems to be ticking! This Saturday were playing "seek ye first" (Laurie Misner, Krystal Misner, Wendy Briggs, John Watkins, Randy Smith, Vanessa Castanero, Sam Price (vocals), Zach Ferguson (violin), Brock Bowers (guitar) ). That same Saturday Zach and I are playing "Oh the Deep Deep Love of Jesus" as a instrumental duet. All I have to say is... PLEASE PRAY THAT WE WILL ALL DO FINE, thanks in advance.

I hope everyone has a terrific week!
